Apple Blossoms

The Apple Blossom Room

We believe that children learn the most through active learning experiences based in play. Children learn with the support of adults and their peers. Each area of our room is arranged with specific academic and social learning experiences in mind. These experiences provide a challenge for different skill and ability levels along with the opportunity for success on any level.

Joe, Apple Blossoms Teacher

I have been working at The Learning Gardens since August of 2005. I was a float teacher until June of 2006 when I became the lead teacher in the Sweet Pea Room. I have been a teacher in the Apple Blossom Room since November 2009. I have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from Madison College. I previously worked at the V.A. Kids Center as a lead teacher in the preschool program for 5 years before coming to The Learning Gardens. I enjoy working with children because every day is a new adventure. I am looking forward to working with you and your children.

Rachel, Apple Blossom Teacher

Hello, my name is Rachel and I have been at The Learning Gardens since October 2024.  I love working with children because they are fascinated by the world. I believe children learn best through doing, interacting, and play.  I am passionate about art.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 2023 working with kids 2-3 years old.  I am a Level 14 on the Wisconsin Registry and I hold a Bachelors degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

I have lived in Madison all my life. I have 2 cats.  In my spare time, I like to do martial arts and snuggle with my cats.
