We have the very important role of caring for your child and encouraging their development in their first years. Our goal is to provide a high quality, nurturing and safe environment for your child that will help him/her grow into a wonderful, curious and happy person. All activities are designed to stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth in a loving and comfortable environment.

Ashley, Pumpkin Patch Teacher

Hello! My name is Ashley Werrline and I have been working at The Learning Gardens since July of 2020! My hours are 7:00-4:00. I have enjoyed working here so much! The children are great and my coworkers are even better! I have been working in child care since 2015. Working with kids has been a passion of mine my whole life; I started with babysitting at the age of 12. I am from Monroe, Wisconsin and I’ve lived in Madison with my boyfriend for the past 3 years. I love being outside. Flying my kite is my favorite. I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, and hammocking.  If the weather is nice, I will be outside! A hobby I enjoy a lot is gardening. I cannot wait to get to know your child and help them reach their highest potential!

Victoria, Pumpkin Patch Teacher

Hello! My name is Victoria Shanahan, and I am so happy to be a part of the Learning Gardens Family! I have enjoyed working in childcare for about 9 years starting with babysitting then teaching kids how to fish in the summertimes, to being a lead teacher! I absolutely love everything there is when it comes to working with children. I grew up here in Madison and got my bachelors in Psychology in Milwaukee. In my free time I love traveling and exploring new places and cultures, playing the piano, riding my bike and curling up with a good book. My passion is art, I plan to get my masters in art therapy, so I would love to help the kids express themselves through art!

My favorite quote: “When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts”
