We believe that each child is a unique and special person who need to be shown that it is okay to be that special person. We value an environment that encourages learning through creative play and we encourage the children to show us how they want to learn and explore, then help them further challenge themselves. We welcome all of our families to be actively involved in your child’s education and value your input to ensure that we are helping each individual child be successful in our program.

Lauren, Ladybug Teacher

Hello Families, I am Lauren and will be sharing on your children’s journey at The Learning Gardens. For the last 5 year I have worked in the early childhood development as a Special Needs Aide, Teacher Assistant, and now a Co-Lead Teacher. I believe in helping children learn through play while providing love, support, and guidance. Together with you, the parents/families, we have helped your child to grow and succeed.
I currently live in Madison, but I am originally from Ohio. Don’t worry, I’m still a big Packers fan. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing games, and relaxing while watching tv with my husband and cats. Let’s have a great year together!

Lydia, Ladybug Teacher

Hello families, I am Lydia and I am so looking forward to meeting you all and being there for your children on their learning journeys. My husband and I have just moved to Madison from Dublin, Ireland. I have a degree in Mental Health Nursing and a M.Sc in Psychology. I have spent the last number of years helping and guiding children through difficult times and providing family support. My passion is for working with children of all developmental abilities and instilling a sense of belief and self confidence in their own unique abilities. I believe in a ‘learning through living’ approach. I also have a huge personal interest in mindfulness meditation, art, baking cakes and animals of any kind. I am most excited to be starting my career with The Learning Gardens due to the friendly, open and inviting environment provided.
