The Infant Unit

The infant unit is made up of 2 classrooms with a total of 16 children and 5 teachers. The infants range between 6 weeks through 12 months old. The teachers within the infant unit work together to ensure all the children and families are happy and engaged.

We enjoy spending time outside on walks, having water play and just getting messy! We are all very resourceful and are here to answer any questions that you may have, whether you are a first-time parent or a parent of multiple children.

JJ, Infant Unit Support

Hi, TLG families. I am so excited to be a part of The Learning Gardens family. I have been at The Learning Gardens since 2018.  I have a passion for two things: babies and learning. As an infant support teacher, I am “the teacher” babies love to snuggle. Early brain development and attachment is very important to me. A child’s brain goes through an amazing period of development between 0-3 years old. Their brains produce 700 neural connections every second!!

My education includes: MA Organizational Management with a Healthcare Administration concentration, BA in psychology, and the proper credentials to be a licensed daycare provider. My experience before childcare, was in a clinical setting using my abnormal psychology skills and knowledge.

I have been married for almost 20 years. Together my husband and I have: 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 high schoolers, and 2 adult children. Our home is never boring!
