The Ladybugs Room

We believe that each child is a unique and special person who needs to be shown that it is okay to be that special person. We value an environment that encourages learning through creative play.  We encourage the children to show us how they want to learn and explore and then help them further challenge themselves. We welcome all of our families to be actively involved in their child’s education and value your input to ensure that we are helping each individual child be successful in our program.

Tiyanna, Ladybug Teacher

Hello!  My name is Tiyanna and I have been with The Learning Gardens since March, 2023.  I love working with kids because they are the future! I believe children learning best through experiences and I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of those around me.

I grew up in Madison and I have 3 small children.  In my spare time, I like to watch movies and listen to music.  I can’t wait to be a part of watching your children grow and learn!

My favorite quote:  “Behind every young child who believe in themselves is a parent who believed first.”  – Matthew Jacobson

LaKeisha, Ladybug Teacher

Hi! My name is LaKeisha Saulsberry. I have worked in the early childhood field for over 20 years and have been with The Learning Gardens since April, 2023. I am working on finishing my degree in Early Childhood Education and am a level 5 on the Wisconsin Registry. I love working with children because everyday is a new and fun adventure. I believe children learn best through natural play, exploring, and problem-solving.  I have three children ages 18, 10, and 8. In my spare time, I like to draw, dance, be outside with my kids, and take family trips.

Some of my favorite quotes are “The best way to make children good is to make them happy.” – Oscar Wilde “A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.” – Robert A. Heinlein and “Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what to count is best”. – Bob Talbert
