Apple Blossoms

The Apple Blossom room has three teachers, Tricia, Kristen and Joe. We believe all teachers are equally responsible for planning and carrying out a variety of developmentally appropriate activities as well as providing a safe and caring environment.

We believe that children learn the most through active learning experiences based in play. Children learn with the support of adults and their peers. Each area of our room is arranged with specific academic and social learning experiences in mind. These experiences provide a challenge for different skill and ability levels along with the opportunity for success on any level.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Blossom room. I’m excited to be one of the 4k teachers in Apple Blossoms!  I started working at The Learning Gardens in April 2014 in the Young Toddler Unit as the Support Staff.  Although I enjoyed my time with the little ones, I have found my true passion in teaching 4k.  I graduated from Winona State University in 2009 and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies.  After I graduated from Winona, I decided to follow my true passion to be a teacher which led me to attend Cardinal Stritch University to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education in 2011 with a license in birth to sixth grade.

A little bit about me, I have a cat named Louie.  I have a SCUBA diving certification and have traveled to study abroad in Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Europe, the Mediterranean and Egypt too.  Traveling is my passion and I hope to do more in the future!

I am really looking forward to getting to know your child!  Please do not hesitate to ask me questions or if any concerns come up!

KristenMKristen, 4K Teacher

Welcome to the Apple Blossom Classroom! I have been a preschool and 4K teacher at The Learning Gardens since February 2012. I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love working with children and seeing the smiles on their faces as they discover new things in their environment. Every day we have new experiences and opportunities to question and challenge the world around us. Taking advantage of these unexpected teachable moments is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher. I believe that it is important to collaborate with families. I look forward to getting to know your family and I want to thank you in advance for allowing me to be a part of your child’s life!
